  1. I’m planning to visit SihanoukVille next month, but haven’t decided how to get there yet. Can you tell me how many ways are there to travel to SihanoukVille. And which is best way to travel there?

    1. Dear Michele,
To travel from Ho Chi Minh City to SihanoukVille, there are many choices of transportation for your reference, such as airplanes, buses and cars. Each transportation means has its pros and cons. Taking a flight to SihanoukVille is the fastest, but the most expensive way, which is suitable for those with less travel time. As suggested by many experienced tourists, taking a bus or going on a tour would be a better choice considering the chance of sightseeing beautiful landscapes while we’re driving through peaceful countryside roads and visit some interesting sites on the way. Going on a bus is also a perfect choice for budged travelers because of its reasonable prices and good services. Moreover, flexible departure schedules as well as short travel time are the big pros of taking a bus.
Besides the bus, going on tours is also a good choice for those who want better services and well-planned itineraries. If the tours are your things, please check out the tours listed in http://vietfuntravel.com/mekong-delta-tours
Thank you for the question. We hope you have a good trip.

    1. Dear Karim,
For your information, SihanoukVille is a premier beach location, as well as one of the most attractive travel destinations of Cambodia. This seaside town features beautiful white-sand beaches and many tiny islands. A lot of vacation activities in this town are related to the beaches, such as swimming, sunbathing, fishing and snorkeling. Besides, visiting Buddhist temples, mountain biking, shopping are also interesting activities in SihanoukVille.
      Thank you for the question.

  3. Since we travel from Vietnam to Cambodia, I guess we have to go through the border crossing and do some procedures before accessing to Cambodia. I’m afraid it will get complicated and waste my time because I can’t speak Cambodian. Is that true?

    1. Dear Thomas,
You shouldn’t worry about that. A local Khmer guide, with good English, will accompany you during the whole journey. He will help you communicate with Cambodian people and do the visa procedures at the border crossing, before accessing to Cambodia. You have to bring your passport and two 4x6 inch photos to apply for entry visa. The fee is 25 dollars.
      Thank you for the question

  4. I noticed the night-bus takes more time to get to SihanoukVille than the-day bus. Why is that? And which one is better and more convenient?

    1. Dear sir/madam,
The day-bus and night-bus will go on two different routes, which cross Moc Bai border gate and Ha Tien border gate respectively. The night-bus has to go on a longer route and wait 2 hours until the Ha Tien border gate opens. That’s why the travel time is expanded. The day bus takes less time to get to Sihanoukville, and you can sightsee beautiful landscapes on the way. Each bus has its pros and cons. You should choose the one that is more suitable for your itinerary.
      Thank you for the question.

    1. Dear Sam,
We usually arrange the 45-seater bus for a group of up to 30 passengers in order to give more space and make you feel comfortable during the long trip. We only use high-quality bus with air-conditioner and still in good condition.
      Thank you for the question

  6. That is such a long trip that I’m afraid I’ll get exhausted after arriving there. So I wonder how many times and where we will stop by to take a rest and recover energy?

    1. Dear Sahar,
During the over ten-hour ride, we will stop at two places for rest and food, one is the border gate, the other is a restaurant on the way. The cost for food, however, is not included in the trip, so you have to buy it yourself.
      Thank you for the question.
